Heinz Hermanns
Heinz Hermanns is the founder and president of interfilm Berlin. After studying politics in Germany and Italy, in 1981 he founded the art house cinema Eiszeit in Berlin, which he directed for nine years. From its beginning in 1982, he has directed the international short film festival interfilm in Berlin. He has given seminars on film language and on short film dramaturgy for professionals, students, children, and adolescents in around 40 countries and has taken part in juries, debates, and presentations of short films all over the world.
Katarina Gligorijevic
Katarina is a Toronto-based writer and film producer who co-runs the film consulting and production company Ultra 8 Pictures with her partner. She has several short and feature film producing credits, most recently Mad God, by two-time Academy Award winner Phil Tippett. From 2018 to 2023, Katarina was director of National Canadian Film Day, a massive international celebration of Canadian film. Her writing has appeared in many online and print film publications, including The Antigonish Review, Taddle Creek Magazine, POV Magazine, and two Coach House Books anthologies. Norm Wilner
Norm Wilner is TIFF’s senior international programmer for Canada and Industry Selects lead — and yes, that’s a convoluted job title. He also hosts and produces the Someone Else’s Movie podcast and publishes the Shiny Things newsletter. Prior to joining TIFF, he spent thirty-odd years as a journalist, most recently as the senior film writer for Toronto’s NOW Magazine. He lives in Moss Park with his wife and their very good dog.
