I’m really excited to begin introducing our jury members this year. It’s such a joy to be able to connect with other film professionals to share and reward the great work of our filmmakers. I’m proud to introduce you to the fine group of people who will be judging our narrative short films this year:
Chelsea Young
Chelsea Young is a student at the University of Toronto studying Cinema Studies and Chemistry and a theatre and film professional from Orange County, California. She is the current President of the Cinema Studies Student Union and the Artistic Director of the SMC Troubadours at U of T. When she is not working with film festivals such as Hot Docs and TIFF, she is passionate about the visual and performing arts as a writer, stage manager, actor, and photographer.
Adam Keresztes
Adam Keresztes is a movie lover and sneaker aficionado. He is currently the shorts programmer and programming administrator at the Calgary International Film Festival and has been with the festival since 2019. His career began as a computer programmer but his love for film has led him to a different kind of programming. Adam is also the co-founder of the Calgary Sneaker Swap and has been organizing community sneaker events for the past eight years. You can usually find him in a movie theatre with a pair of Air Jordans on or writing hot takes on Letterboxd.
Jessica Hinkson
Jessica Hinkson is a graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse and worked closely with Terry Schreiber. A creator first and foremost, her multi-award-winning films have garnered international success along with landing on significant broadcasting networks and continue to thrive on multiple global streaming platforms. She is the recipient of the 2021 Women in Film Screenplay Award from the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival, was selected for Stowe Story Labs 10th Annual Lab, and is on Coverfly’s Red List. Currently, she is in the early stages of development for her first feature with Stowe Story Labs Feature Campus.
